Filmmaker and film production professional from Afghanistan, Ahmad Naseer Aieen has been living in Germany for approximately one and a half years. He holds a Master’s degree in Film and Production and has more than 10 years of professional experience in cinema, filmmaking, and media production. His professional career has primarily focused on the production and direction of documentary films. Alongside his documentary work, he has also directed and produced several short fiction and artistic films, contributing to a variety of film and audiovisual projects in different production capacities. He is currently collaborating with a media organization in Germany, where he works in the production of documentary films and television programs. Alongside his professional activities, he is continuing to learn and improve his German language skills while expanding his professional experience and knowledge within Germany’s film and media industry. His main areas of professional interest and expertise include documentary filmmaking, film production, short fiction films, artistic cinema, and television production.
Case background and support provided
Initiative pour la Liberté Artistique (ILA) supported Naseer Aieen through his relocation from Afghanistan to Germany under the Bundesaufnahmeprogramm (Federal Admission Programme).
ILA provided continuous support throughout the relocation process, including consultation and coordination in Afghanistan and Pakistan, assistance with his journey from Afghanistan to Pakistan, and support during the visa and relocation process. After receiving his visa in Pakistan, ILA continued to support Naseer with his journey to Germany. Following his arrival in Germany, ILA provided ongoing administrative support, consultation, and guidance, assisting him with the various procedures involved in establishing himself and continuing his professional and artistic work in Germany.
The case involved sustained support across Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Germany, accompanying Naseer through the different stages of his relocation and transition to Germany.
