Immigration Representation for Eligible Artists
ILA provides access to legal support for artists facing persecution, censorship, or urgent humanitarian crises in their countries of origin. Through our network of trusted partners and in collaboration with our sister organization, Artistic Freedom Initiative (AFI), we help connect artists with legal expertise adapted to their situation.
Legal pathways to safety vary depending on each individual case, including asylum procedures and other residency options across Europe and, where relevant, the United States.
Through these partnerships, artists may receive legal guidance in pursuing:
- Asylum or international protection in Europe
- Visa pathways related to professional and academic opportunities in Europe
- Residency pathways offering safety and stability
- Admission to other countries, including the United States, when applicable
