ILA works in close collaboration with its sister organization, Artistic Freedom Initiative (AFI), based in New York. References to AFI on this website do not alter the separate legal status of the two organizations.

This website provides information about ILA’s mission, programs, activities, research, advocacy, cultural programming, legal assistance, resettlement support, partnerships and opportunities to support its work.

ILA provides specialized assistance to artists and cultural workers facing restrictions on artistic freedom, persecution, displacement, immigration barriers or related challenges.
Information published on this website concerning immigration, asylum, visas, residency, work authorization or other legal matters is general information and does not constitute legal advice.
Submitting an inquiry, contacting ILA or completing an assistance form does not by itself create a lawyer-client relationship or any other professional relationship between the person submitting the request and ILA, AFI, or any lawyer working with either organization.
