Initiative pour la Liberté Artistique (ILA) accepts applications from at-risk artists around the world seeking support, protection, and relocation opportunities in Europe.

For artists already in Europe, ILA also supports those who fear persecution in their home countries and are navigating displacement or seeking to rebuild their lives in safety.

In collaboration with our sister organization, Artistic Freedom Initiative (AFI), ILA may also assist artists pursuing pathways to protection beyond Europe.

Who can apply?

  • هنرمندانی که در کشورهای خود دچار فاجعه انسانی یا درگیری مسلحانه شده‌اند.
  • هنرمندانی که توسط دولت یا سایر مقامات در کشورهای خود سانسور می‌شوند.
  • هنرمندانی که به دلیل ابراز عقاید، ایده‌ها یا هویت خود از طریق هنر، مورد تهدید یا آزار و اذیت قرار می‌گیرند.

چه کسانی هنرمند محسوب می‌شوند؟

AFI اصطلاح «هنرمند» را به طور گسترده تفسیر می‌کند. این شامل موارد زیر می‌شود، اما محدود به آنها نیست:

  • بازیگران
  • روزنامه‌نگاران و عکاسان خلاق
  • Cultural workers (including curators, art scholars, archivists, and conservators); and publishers or presenters of art

  • Writers (including fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, playwrights, and screenwriters)

برای درخواست دادن چه چیزهایی لازم است؟

  1. Artistic production:
    • هنرمندان در معرض خطر باید بتوانند سابقه‌ای از تولید یا اجرای هنری خود را نشان دهند.
  2. Persecution, Censorship, or Humanitarian Crises in Home Country:
    • متقاضیان باید نشان دهند که یکی از موارد زیر را دارند:
      • در معرض خطر آزار و اذیت به عنوان پیامد مستقیم هنرشان هستند - این می‌تواند از طریق سابقه آسیب جسمی در گذشته، ترس از آسیب جسمی در آینده، حبس یا پیگرد قانونی نشان داده شود.
      • Unable to express themselves freely through their art due to censorship by the government; or
      • Facing forced displacement, humanitarian crisis, or armed conflict.

Apply for Assistance

If you are an at-risk artist in need of assistance, please read the above Application Guide for Artists to determine whether you qualify for assistance from Initiative pour la Liberté Artistique.

To apply, at-risk artists are required to complete our application form. ILA makes an overall assessment of each applicant’s needs. To enable us to assess your application properly, please provide all the information and documentation requested in the application form. All information will be treated confidentially. You will be contacted and informed of the result of the assessment as soon as the application has been processed.
